In today’s post we will tackle one particular problem that some of our readers are facing and that is the iPhone 6 black screen problem. While this is not a common occurrence this does indeed happen. We have selected three such issues of this nature and have addressed the problems below.

iPhone 6 Black Screen Issue

The black screen issues above were sent to us by our readers. If you notice they are quite similar so we have created just one troubleshooting guide for all three. The only thing that we can check right now is if this problem is caused by a glitch in the phone software.
The first thing that needs to be done is to restart the device. This can be done by following the steps listed below.
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
If the phone can’t be restarted then force a restart
- Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue still persists then reset your phone
- Press and hold down the On/Off button on the right side (iPhone 6 or later)
- Press and hold down the Home button on the front of your phone while still holding down the On/Off button.
- Keep holding both buttons as the screen turns off keep holding both buttons until the turns back on again and displays the Apple logo.
If at this point you are still having the same problem then I recommend you restore your phone software then setup your phone as a new device. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing this.
In case the issue remains unresolved at this point then you will need to contact Apple regarding this matter or you can also bring your phone to an authorized service center as this may already be a hardware related problem.
