iPhone 6 Does Not Charge
Problem: Hi, I have iPhone 6 bought last year. The charger was working fine until nowadays. Whenever I insert the charger it says ‘cable not supported’ and it won’t charge. I tried the same came to another iPhone and it was working fine. I have another cable then also again it says the same message. The funny part is I had tried find a way to charge it. I switch off my phone completely and then insert the charger in off mode and switch the power on. The phone automatically switches on due to power input. And then the phone starts charging automatically. This formula was working but then now it needs two reset and then it charges. This is funny but I do not know what is wrong with my phone. Please help me find out where the real problem lies.
Solution: With the troubleshooting steps that you did we can safely say that there is nothing wrong with the charger since it works perfectly fine when used in anther iPhone. Let’s then concentrate our troubleshooting to your phone.
First, disconnect your phone from the charger then inspect the lightning port of your phone. What you need to check is the presence of any dirt or lint since this may interfere with the charging process. If you spot any then use a can of compressed air or a toothpick to clean the port.
Sometimes the problem may be with the USB cable that you are using. Try using another Apple certified USB cable and see if you can charge your phone.
If the problem persists then with your phone connected to the charger do a restart
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
iPhone 6 Freezes When Connected To Charger
Problem: Recently I have noticed a minor problem with my iphone 6 that was bought just 4 months ago. My phone getting hanged for a while when I plug in the charger and as soon as I unplug the charger it is reverting back to normal. Please advise?
Solution: Make sure you are using the original charger and USB cable that came with your phone when charging your device. Try plugging the charger to a different power source and see if the issue still occurs. You should also try to use a different USB cord and wall charger to see if the charger is causing the problem.
