Apple iPhone 6s casing reveals bigger but lighter body; No more bendgate?

iPhone 6s

The folks at Unbox Therapy have managed to get their hands on an alleged casing of the ‘iPhone 6s‘ revealing a gold exterior.

This leak is quite crucial as it also reveals how Apple has managed to cut down on the weight of the smartphone by toning down the body in strategic locations. The overall size of the device is said to be slightly bigger compared to the iPhone 6, which doesn’t necessarily mean that Apple will use a larger display on board but merely that there might be some new sensors and hardware underneath.

An improved design also tells us that there won’t be a repeat of the Bendgate controversy from last year, which saw some units of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus bending over external stress.

It has already been rumored that Apple is using the premium 7000 Series aluminum with the new iPhones, which should help the company’s cause greatly. You can check out the video from Unbox Therapy below for a better understanding of what’s different with this newly leaked iPhone 6s back plate.
