Some Apple iPhone 5s owners turn to online forums to seek help from other owners who may have encountered the infamous Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD). Latest reports indicate that the new Apple smartphone has a tendency to turn blue and reboot when the blue screen bug is triggered. Owners who have experienced the problem said that the company’s own iWorks application may be the one causing the issue, although the bug can be triggered randomly.
In a video uploaded on YouTube by user Elindil, it was shown how to trigger BSOD. Some tech enthusiasts say the problem is with the iOS 7 and not app-specific. While Apple released iOS 7.0.2 to address problems of early adopters, the update only fixed lock-screen security bugs and not the intermittent reboot issue or the BSOD bug.
A workaround was provided by some users: disable iCloud syncing for Numbers app, Keynote and Apple’s Pages. As of press time, Apple have not issued statement about the problem yet. The problem seems serious so it is expected the company would address it in no time.
