One of the more frustrating things about smart phone technology and hardware is that devices released overseas that sound amazing sometimes never make it to the United States, much to the dismay of many users in the West. In some cases the devices might be allowed for release if they undergo significant changes. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is one such device. It has recently emerged at the FCC again, but this time as the M-T315 with built-in cellular access. It is still not optimized for American service.
The LTE on the inside is only meant for a handful of countries such as South Korea. Unless the device undergoes a frequency change we will not be seeing it in the States. While there is no really surprise to be had that the FCC won’t allow the device into American markets, many feel like it would be nice to see more variety.
