You might have heard about the new 7 inch Android tablet from Asus that’s priced very competitively, the MeMo Pad. If you are interested in buying it, you might want to hold on your money a bit longer, because there is a chance of a 10 inch tablet with the same brand name coming soon. We have this feeling because of the two awesome leaks of the tablet made by the Dutch website Tablets Magazine.
The web site had recently leaked an unboxing video of what is called the MeMo Pad 10 Smart from Asus, the bigger brother of the 7 inch MeMo Pad. There have been no official mentions of the bigger brother anywhere yet. But the web site has managed to make another leak of the same tablet, but this time, instead of videos, we have press images of the tablet. So what you see above, is the Asus MeMo Pad 10 Smart Android tablet that is going to be out soon.
According to the rumors till now, the tablet is having a 10.1 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. There are two cameras, one in the front and one on the back of the tablet, but we are not sure about the specifics of the cameras yet. Under the hood, the tablet is expected to have a quad core Tegra 3 processor, 16 GB of on board memory, microSD card slot to increase that figure, and 1 GB of RAM. I know that the RAM on this machine is not up to the mark considering other similar tablets in the market. Also, the tablet is said to come with Android Jelly Bean out of the box, but again, not sure if it is Android 4.1 or Android 4.2.
The 7 inch Asus MeMo Pad is priced at $145, very aggressive pricing. Walking along the same line, the 10 inch Asus MeMo Pad 10 Smart is also going to be very aggressively priced, but we are not sure how much that would be. But it would definitely not make your wallet very light. Interested?
