Are you one of the fans of the awesome Huawei Ascend Mate? Well, that is good news, because you can now pre order the smart phone from a Chinese reseller named Liaow Meizu Shop. But the price you need to pay is a bit steep, it is $575. But compared to the price tag on flagship smart phones from other manufacturers, this is pretty reasonably priced.
The Huawei Ascent Mate has a monstrous 6.1 inch screen. But it is not FHD like the Huawei Ascend D2. So the 6.1 inch display gives a pixel per inch count of just 241 ppi compared to the 441 ppi on 5 inch Huawei Ascend D2. But the Ascend Mate has got an awesome battery, matching the size of the display on the smart phone. You get a 4050 mAh battery on the smart phone, so you can practically forget about charging your smart phone every night. Compare this with the 3300 mAh battery of the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD, which once seemed out of this world.
The Huawei Ascend Mate’s 73% of the body is taken up by its display. So that makes a lot of display on the smart phone, and it is very thin at just 9.9 mm thick, or thin, however you prefer it. It is not really bulky to be frank, but it is definitely big, if you put it next to an iPhone 4S, or even an iPhone 5 for that matter. But if you have tiny and short fingers, you can configure the phone to use with one hand, the dialer and the keypad will be pushed to one side of the display.
The Samsung Galaxy Note III is expected to weigh in with a 6.3 inch display, and we have already seen a 6.44 inch display panel from Sony leaked on the internet, which could be from a future Xperia branded phablet. So if you think the Huawei Ascend Mate is very big, it will soon start to look tiny.
