Samsung Galaxy Camera To Make U.K Debut On Nov 8, MSRP £399

Samsung Electronics UK today announced that the Samsung Galaxy Camera will be available in the United Kingdom from November 8th. However, if you are extremely eager to get your hands on the camera/smartphone hybrid device you could drop in at your nearest Samsung Brand brick and mortar store on November 7th after 5pm and you will not just get your gadget before anyone else but also be treated with champagne and canapés, courtesy Samsung Store. Samsung’s Galaxy Camera is a stunning point and shoot camera that has all the features of a Galaxy range smartphone except the phone part. The Galaxy Camera is 0.75 inches thick and weighs 305 g but the hybrid device also boasts of the largest screen of any camera. The device sports a 4.8 inch, 720 x 1280 pixel, Super Clear LCD capacitive touch display with 16 M color, with a protective layer of Gorilla Glass 2.

The camera is a 16 megapixel unit with 21x optical zoom and Xenon pop-up flash. The camera features a 23mm wide angle lens, with features such as face detection and smile detection. The camera can also record video at up to 1080p.

The Galaxy Camera operates on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by a Exynos Quad-core Cortex-A9 chip clocked at 1.4 Ghz and Mali 400MP GPU and 1GB of RAM.

Samsung provides the Galaxy Camera with apps such as photo and video wizard to make it an all in one device with which you can shoot, edit photos and videos and share it directly from the camera’s 3G or 4G connectivity options.
