#Facebook introduced a unique new 360 degree video viewing experience to its Newsfeed sometime ago. However, this was limited to Android users for the longest of times. This has now changed with the company introducing support for iOS devices thanks to a new update.
Since the first 360 degree video was posted, a lot of other names have joined list including the likes of Disney, Vice and GoPro. The company has promised that more content providers will join soon.
360 degree videos will appear just like a standard videos on your Newsfeed, so you won’t find anything different in that regard. But when you open the video, you will see a prompt telling you that this is a 360 degree video while also giving you details on the kind of experience you can have.
In order to encourage user submissions, Facebook has also set up a page which details the upload process while also giving users valuable tips on how to get the best possible wide angle videos.
The feature should go live on iPhones in the form of an update. Make sure you let us know if the update is already reaching your iOS devices.
