iPhone 6 Plus Camera Stuck In Video Mode

Problem: The camera keeps getting stuck on the video mode in particular slow Mo, and it keeps saying I don’t have enough storage to make a video: kept buying more and more storage because AT&T mistakenly gave me a 16GB phone when I needed 64 to run my business now I’m at the maximum storage amount you can buy and I still can’t take a picture for the last week ,I tried to delete as much as possible but I still can’t get the camera to take a picture anymore and it’s ruining my seasonal business, I bought it in Dallas but I lived in Santa Barbara but just move to Reading California where there is no Apple Store. It’s on my daughter’s business account,;  there is an AT&T store, I was going to just call Apple though

Solution: The camera may be set to video mode. You can tell if this is the case if the Video setting text on the camera is yellow. Try to press on the photo text on the camera settings and make sure that it turns yellow.

If you are unable to select photo then try force closing the app. To do this double click on the home button to bring up the multitasking display. Swipe the camera up to force close it.

Open the camera app then check if you can select the photo option.

If the issue persists do a restart.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  • Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  • After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
