Microsoft Send for iOS brings a unique new perspective to email conversations

Microsoft Send

Sending emails can be a very formal affair for many. The fact that email clients out there use a stock white background and black text format, doesn’t help either. However, if you’re looking to make your email conversations more colorful, the Microsoft Send app is meant for you.

Available in the iTunes App Store now, the Send app brings some zing back to your email conversations. Emails are displayed like messages on an IM client, which makes the whole experience slightly less formal. You are even notified when a person in the conversation is typing a message, pretty much like an IM client.

To make sure your past emails are not pried upon, Send only displays mails that are sent from the app. While Send cannot access old mails, the messages you send from the app are safely stored in your primary email folders, so you can find them anytime you want.

We really like the concept of Send, which gives emails a more social angle. The app is currently limited to iOS, although Microsoft will be launching it on Android and Windows Phone over the coming days.
