iPhone 6 Switches On & Off Randomly

Problem: Hello, I am using I phone 6 with latest IOS version 8.3 since yesterday my iphone switches off and on randomly after every one hour. I force closed all the apps and force restarted my iphone also ( Keep pressing the power and home button for 10 secs) Still the same problem exists. Only last option left is reset to factory settings. Before that I just want to check with you for any solution. Please help as soon as possbile, as I got the phone 6 last 5 months back.

Solution: If force restarting your phone fails to resolve the issue then your best option is to perform a factory reset. Just make sure to back up your phone data before proceeding.

Before restoring your phone

  • Make sure you’re using the latest version of iTunes.
  • Use iTunes to back up your device. Transfer and sync any additional content to your computer.
  • Turn off Find My iPhone in Settings > iCloud on your device to disable Activation Lock.

Restoring your phone

  • Connect your iOS device to your computer using the cable that came with it.
  • Select your iPhone when it appears in iTunes. In the Summary panel, click Restore.
  • Click Restore again to confirm that you want to restore your device to factory settings and delete all data and content. iTunes will download the iOS software file and restore your iOS device.
  • After your iOS device is restored to factory settings, it will restart. Once it does, you’ll see the “Slide to set up” welcome screen. Follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. You can set up your device as new.

iPhone 6 Will Not Start

Problem: my iphone will not start, tried rebooting holding standby and home button. Tried charging from mains and PC. When I turned it off it had some change. PC does not recognize it. Turned it off because calling voicemail was not working properly.

Solution: Try to check your phone charging port for any signs of dirt or lint. If you spot any then clean it using a toothpick or cotton bud dipped in alcohol. You should also consider replacing the USB cord used in charging your phone as this cable may already be faulty.

If the problem persists then use a different wall charger and let your phone charge for at least 20 minutes before turning it on.

iPhone 6 Restarts When Entering Notification Center

Problem: when I slide my finger from the top of the screen to the bottom, the notification center pops up. then about one second later, my phone restarts. I need a solution for this as it is really annoying!!!

Solution: You should try to restart your phone first and see if this resolves the issue.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  • Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  • After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

If the issue persists then try to restart your phone.

  • To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button for at least 10 seconds.

If the issue persists then a factory reset is highly recommended.
