iPhone 6 No SIM Card Error

Problem: I got a brand new iPhone 6 last week, upgraded to iOS 8.2, that I’m using my T-Mobile 4G LTE plan with. The iPhone is overall pretty good, but it often complains of a missing SIM card every day or so, at which point the 4G LTE connection cuts, and I can’t make or receive phone calls or text messages. The only way to clear the error is to reboot the phone, but then the next day the same error will appear again. Any other T-Mobile users experience this? It’s annoying for a brand new phone to misbehave like this.

Solution: If you get the “No SIM Card installed” or “Invalid SIM” error on your phone then try to perform the following troubleshooting steps below.

  • Update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
  • Turn airplane mode on and then off again.
  • Restart your iPhone.
  • Check for a carrier settings update. Go to Settings > General > About. Install any available update.
  • Remove the SIM card and make sure that it’s a valid SIM that your carrier provided. Also make sure that it’s not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
  • A SIM tray that comes with one iPhone model won’t necessarily work with a different iPhone model. When you insert the correct SIM tray, the SIM tray should be flush with the device.
  • If you have another SIM card, insert it. You can use a SIM card from any phone with the same format as your iPhone SIM card. If your iPhone works with that SIM card, contact the carrier that issued your original SIM card.
  • Restore the iPhone.

iPhone 6 SIM Card Stuck

Problem: I was being an idiot since I couldn’t find a nano sim card for my mobile provider, so I decided to rig my iPhone 4S sim, and I got it stuck in the sim slot. It’s impacted, and I am not going to mess with it for now. Is there anyway to get it out?

Solution: I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have the SIM card professionally removed. The technicians will have the correct tools to safely take out the SIM. If you try to take it out on your own you may damage the phone SIM card contact points.

iPhone 6 Can’t Hear Caller

Problem: last week my phone has been acting up with a few features, but biggest one is that every other call or so, I can not hear anything from the caller, no voice at all. This happens regardless of whether I use headphones, Bluetooth in my car or just to my ear. I have done the reboot several times, but not a full reset. I’m reluctant to do that as I’ve done it a bunch of times in the past and it takes a while to reload everything. Anyone else have this issue?

Solution: If you can’t hear the caller on the other end or if the sound quality is poor then follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.

Turn up the volume – In some cases the reason why you can’t hear the caller is that the call volume is set to minimum. Try to adjust the volume and make sure that you see the volume indicator displayed on the screen when you press on the volume button.

Check the connections

  • Make sure that you don’t have anything plugged in to the headphone jack or the dock connector.
  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth.

Clear the receiver

  • Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or film.
  • If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device.
  • Check the receiver opening to see if it’s blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
  • While you’re on a call, turn on speakerphone. If you still can’t hear, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try calling again later or from a different location.

Restart phone

  • Clear the receiver
  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  • Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  • After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

Reset phone

  • Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

iPhone 6 Crack Feel/ Sound At Bottom Of Screen

Problem: Hello there, I have got my iPhone 6 (new one) and by pressing the corners of the iPhone I can feel a crack like and I even can hear it. Exactly to where my fingers are! I sent it to Apple Authorized Service and they claimed it was replaced! I still have the same issue though!!!!  How could that be possible??

Solution: You should definitely go to an Apple Store or authorized service provider and show them the exact problem of the phone. If there are any iPhone 6 on display try checking if the cracking sound are also present on those models.

iPhone 6 Camera Only Works When Using FaceTime

Problem: Nothing but a black screen while using both cameras on a iphone 6 yet facetime does work. Has anyone had this issue or heard of a solution? Thanks

Solution: If FaceTime works on your phone then here is a big possibility that this may just be a software related issue. Try to restart your phone first and see if this resolves the issue.

  • Clear the receiver
  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  • Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
  • After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

If the problem persists then do a reset.

  • Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

If the problem still remains then your last option is to restore the phone to its original factory settings and set it up as new. Make sure to back up your phone data before proceeding.

  • Connect your iOS device to your computer using the cable that came with it.
  • Select your iPhone when it appears in iTunes. In the Summary panel, click Restore.
  • Click Restore again to confirm that you want to restore your device to factory settings and delete all data and content. iTunes will download the iOS software file and restore your iOS device.
  • After your iOS device is restored to factory settings, it will restart. Once it does, you’ll see the “Slide to set up” welcome screen. Follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. You can set up your device as new.

iPhone 6 Not Charging Using Wall Charger

Problem: My iPhone 6 will not charge when connected to the wall, it will only charge when connected to PC.

Solution: First make sure that you are using the original wall charger or an Apple certified wall charger. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to resolve this issue.

  • Look at the connector at the bottom of your device and make sure it’s free of debris.
  • Try a different USB cable or wall charger
  • If your device still doesn’t charge, try to restart it while it’s connected to power. If you can’t restart, reset your device.

iPhone 6 Black Screen When On Call

Problem: I have had my iPhone 6 for about 4 months when recently I was on a call and the screen was BLACK…  I couldn’t end the call…  The only way out was a hard reset to the phone by holding down the home button and pressing the power button…  I updated to iOS 8.2 and that didn’t seem to fix the problem..   Does anyone have a fix or experiencing the same problem?

Solution: Try restoring your phone to its original factory settings then set it up as a new device. Make sure that you back up your data first before proceeding.

My wifes iphone has a lot more on him and she doesn’t have this problem! what can i do? Should i restore the factory settings?

Solution: You should definitely try to restore your phone to its original factory settings. Remember to back up your data before doing this procedure.
