Significant amount of information about the upcoming Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices were leaked on the internet last week, thanks to a Twitter post by a user named ‘evleaks’ These images showed both the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Lumia 820 handsets and the user also claimed that the Lumia 920 would come with a camera processing PureView technology.
Earlier today, The Verge received information from its sources, who revealed to the website that both Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices would come with induction based wireless charging capability. This piece of information is now backed with another leaked image from ‘evleaks’, showing Nokia induction charging pads with Lumia phones placed on them. From what can be seen in the image, the multi-colored scheme is carried on to charging pads and the charging pads look just as long as the phones themselves. But according to The Verge, Nokia wis using the Qi charging standard, which would allow the devices to be charged with other induction charging pads available in the market.
In addition to the details regarding Lumia 920, the website’s sources have also revealed some information regarding the other Windows Phone 8 device, the Lumia 820 smartphone. Lumia 820 will be the company’s fashion phone, with the ability to swap the back cover with different coloured one that can be purchased separately from Nokia, in the same fashion as the current Lumia 710 Windows Phone.
Apart from this unique feature, the Lumia 820 is said to come with only 8 GB of internal storage memory, but can be expanded with the use of microSD card slots. Other than the storage space, the Lumia 820 is said to feature the same hardware specifications as the higher end Lumia 920, the 1.5GHz dual core processor and the 1GB of RAM. The Verge also says that, Lumia 820 will also feature a camera with 8 megapixel sensor, but doubts that Nokia will call it PureView.
